JEFFREY
By THE CATISFIELD KID (GB) out of MOUSE (NZ)
Bred by John Seabrook (patron of the Lambourne polo team), Chris acquired Jeffrey in 2005 as an unbroken three-year-old. Jeffrey has been the firm favourite from their first encounter, and Chris credits his early success as a playing professional to this magnificent chap. Jeffrey was officially retired in 2020 and now nannies the youngstock.

GIGANTOR
By THE CATISFIELD KID (GB) out of MOUSE (NZ)
Bred by John Seabrook (patron of the Lambourne polo team), Chris acquired Gigantor in 2008 as a five-year-old – they went on to have their first season together at Guards. Gigantor is the backbone of Chris’s playing string, and has probably done more chukkas than any other horse on the yard.

BRYONY
By NAMID (GB) out of ELLERAY (IRE)
Acquired from Ben Eeley’s Champion Factory as a four-year-old, Bryony has been a little treasure from day one. She has the perfect canter for polo, and offers brilliant flying changes. She is pictured here winning the Best Playing Pony in the Kirtlington Park Polo Club 12 goal.

JAZZ
By RAKAPOSHI KING (GB) out of TAKE A RISK (GB)
Jazz was trained by Martin Fewster, and sold to Edmund Parsons who went on to play the medium and high goal with her. She had a foal in 2014 and was then very kindly given to Chris to play. When’s she’s good, she’s exceptional.

LEIA
By TRAGIC ROLE (USA) out of GREENACRES STAR (GB)
Princess Leia was acquired from Ben Eeley’s Champion Factory as a four-year-old. She’s always got fuel in the tank, even at the end of the season, and is undoubtedly the prettiest girl on the yard.

PARTY
By THE CATISFIELD KID (GB) out of MOUSE (NZ)
Bred by John Seabrook (patron of the Lambourne polo team), Chris acquired Party in 2008. She is the full sister of both Jeffrey and Gigantor. She is our resident broodmare, and has given us some cracking foals to date.

SAPPHIRE (2003 – 2020)
Irish-bred Sapphire dodged a bullet and found her place on Chris’s playing string after she had been discarded by a high goal team while in training. Extremely agile and could spin on a sixpence, but not a ride for the fainthearted.

BLISS (1996 – 2020)
Bliss was trained at Waireka Polo Farm, New Zealand where Chris first met her as a four year old. Trained by Roddy Wood (who Chris worked for at the time), she was then exported to England by Black Bears Polo Team. After a medium and high goal career, she eventually found her way back to Chris. She was retired in 2017, at 21 years old. She still had the best legs in the business, even as an old lady.
